Streets:
From a local: A church (name/address unknown)
Directions: If you are on the Roberto Clemente Bridge
facing the North Shore, walk past PNC Park, make the first right. Continue
on that street until you come to the next major street parallel to PNC.
Make a left. Parking lot on your left. You'll eventually pass under
a highway, cross the street and walk past more lots, and continue on
walking straight, through a tunnel and up a hill. On your right will
be an apartment complex. On your left will be a parking garage. Keep
walking up the hill. You'll see the church off to the right after a
block or so (immediately past the apt. complex). There are meters to
the side and a couple of lots to the back. There's a large grassy area
next to the meters. I've parked there for Pirates games, Pitt games
and Steelers games and have never been ticketed, even at the meters,
which supposedly aren't checked. Occasionally the church will have a
function and the lot will be full, so leave yourself enough time to
park in a paying lot or a garage.
Distance from stadium:
10-15 min walk
Best time to arrive:
1-2 hours before game time
Tips:
$5 parking about 2 blocks away, but only convenient if you exit via 279 North.
